Study Abroad
I truly believe that studying abroad is one of the most beneficial opportunities students anywhere in the world can take in order to experience and learn about more other cultures and their people, as well as learning about their surrounding environments, and even themselves. As a result of my interest in other cultures and our world as a whole, and the combination of fantastic opportunities which I have been able to be a part of through Penn State and other abroad events, I have taken as many opportunities as I could to advance my knowledge of the world and other people through first hand interaction. Throughout my time abroad, I have come to understand that while learning in the classroom can be beneficial, and as much as I enjoy books and the worlds of knowledge they contain, nothing comes close to seeing, touching, and becoming engaged with the information which can be at our fingertips, if only we seek it out.
Included below are accounts of the travels I have taken and what I have been fortunate enough for them to have taught me throughout my time outside of these hallowed walls. It is my dearest wish that within those reading these accounts, something inspires them enough to chase after their own dreams, goals, and the knowledge they truly wish to pursue, in the hopes that their passions and interests will work to help make the world a better place through providing beauty, understanding, and compassion for all those who share it with us.
